Our no-till roller finds a manufacturer!
Amish equpiment manufacturer Jacob Blank has offered
to build and donate seven rollers for our no-till organic project
so that farmers around the country can begin testing the tool with
different cover crops in different regions. Blank says he'll make
another three for sale--he's already got one order.
"We're very pleased to be working with a small-scale, family-owned
local manufacturer on this," says Rodale Institute farm manager
Jeff Moyer. And Blank is pleased, too. He sees this as a strategic
move to meet the growing trend among his customers for organic,
sustainable and no-till. To read more, click here.
