Back to Nature brand latest addition to Kraft family

September 4, 2003, Food giant Kraft Foods is expanding its organic offerings with the acquisition of Back to Nature cereal and granola. Back to Nature was formerly part of the privately held Organic Milling.

The Back to Nature brand, which is sold in retail grocery and natural product stores in the US, registered sales of almost US$10m in 2002.

Organic Milling will continue to produce the Back to Nature cereals and granola for Kraft under a co-manufacturing agreement.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
