Albania's Green Party: Stop import of biotech crops

October 29, 2003 -- CropChoice news: Albania, the latest addition to a growing list of countries willing to accept genetically modified crops, will import about 16 metric tons of genetically engineered corn and soybeans from the United States in November, according to a news release from the Albanian Green Party. The Greens say that biotech seeds and crops cause agronomic and environmental harm, and so their importation should be stopped.
