Internet brings new markets, possibilities to rural communities

TCHENNAI, India, Aug 29, 2003 (IPS): Farmers, and students at the Virtual Academy of Food Security and Rural Prosperity (VARP), in the Dindigul area of India's southern Tamil Nadu state no longer need convincing when it comes to the value of maintaining a website to get the best possible prices for the their produce.
