Reappearance of FMD in Paraguay worries neighbors

ASUNCION, Paraguay, August 19, 2003 (Alejandro Sciscioli / IPS): Paraguay is off the World Organization for Animal Health’s FMD-free list after the another outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease hit the country’s cattle. This latest outbreak has neighboring, Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay angry over Paraguay’s inability to contain the disease and the possible ramifications it may have on their herds. MORE>
