Oresund Food Excellence: A new type of organic
milk with a fat content of 0.05% is now to be launched
in the Øresund Region of Denmark. Thiese, a small
innovative Danish dairy has developed the milk with the
aim of removing as much fat as possible while remaining
the rich taste of the milk. The dairy has succeeded because
the milk comes from Jersey cattle which by nature have
a richer taste than milk from traditional Holstein and
red and white dairy cattle.
A year ago, separately branded Jersey milk was introduced
for the first time in the Øresund Region and it
soon became a success. In the light of the success, Thiese
got the idea to develop the world’s most lean milk
product, which is a reality today.
